Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing smarttube.lol you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

smarttube.lol is an independent third-party website that prepares, configures and keeps SmartTube builds up to date for the televisions and streaming boxes you register. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by the SmartTube project, YouTube, Google or Amazon. All third-party product names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

2. Accounts

Access requires signing in with Google. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.

3. What the service provides

We generate signed SmartTube builds from the device profiles you configure, host the install links, and offer update channels for the devices you register. SmartTube itself is a separate, community-maintained open-source project distributed under the MIT licence; we do not own it, we do not control its release schedule, and we do not claim any rights in it.

• You are responsible for installing builds on hardware you own or are permitted to modify.
• You must comply with the terms of service of YouTube and Google when you use any YouTube client, including SmartTube.
• You may not present our builds as official releases of the SmartTube project, or redistribute modified builds that carry our signing configuration.

4. Subscriptions, credits, and billing

Paid plans are subscriptions billed in advance through Stripe, monthly or annually. Each plan grants a fixed number of build credits that refresh at the start of every billing period. Unused credits do not roll over unless a plan explicitly says otherwise.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues until the end of the paid period.

• Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude any applicable taxes.
• We may change prices for future billing periods with notice before your next renewal.
• Failed payments may result in suspension of paid features.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Distribute builds in a way that misrepresents their origin or implies endorsement by the SmartTube project.
• Resell, sublicense, or share access to your account or your generated builds without permission.
• Bypass credit limits, rate limits, or access controls.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent an affiliation, including any affiliation with the SmartTube project, YouTube or Google.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the operation of the site.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of applicable export and sanctions law.

6. Your content and devices

You keep ownership of the device profiles, settings and other material you submit. You grant us the limited licence needed to store and process that material to generate builds for you. You confirm that you are entitled to register the devices and accounts you add.

7. Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Upstream changes to the SmartTube project, YouTube, Google, Android TV or Fire OS can affect whether a build installs or plays back correctly, and we are not responsible for those changes. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any damage caused by installing a side-loaded application on your device, or by any change made by the upstream project.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that exposes us or others to risk. You may stop using the service at any time.
